Holistic support
for the Jewish community
|
“The Talmud says that the
beginning of a fall is when people lose hope.
ORT is about strength in support, to give the dignity of work,
to bring fulfillment and a sense of self-worth.”
Chief Rabbi Dr Warren Goldstein |

In Judaism, the sincerest form of charity is to aid someone by
offering them a gift or a loan; by entering into a partnership; or by
providing work so that they may become self-supporting. ORT SA operates
in line with this philosophy.
We are indebted to our patrons and Donors from the Jewish Community
who support these Jewish Community initiatives. These initiatives
represent approximately 10-15% of ORT SA’s operations.
Volunteers are the backbone of our success
Our continued achievement is only possible because of the support of
the donors, lay leaders and fundraisers who work tirelessly to ensure
that ORT SA remains adequately funded.
ORT SA’s volunteers are the strategic assets of the organisation. We are
thankful to those men and women who assist ORT SA with projects, events
and fundraising. Through them, ORT SA is able to make a difference.

“My involvement in ORT has been
a constant joy. It has given me an international family.”
Judge Richard Goldstone |
