ORT JET Thanks Consultants
July 2009
In today’s tough economical times the work of ORT JET is an asset
to the Jewish community. At a recent breakfast held, ORT JET honoured
and thanked the ORT JET consultants for giving of their time in
fulfilling Judaism’s sincerest form of charity by aiding a person in
need so that they may become self supporting. The breakfast was
attended by over 130 top business people most of whom give of their
time to assist Jewish businesses in need.
ORT JET consultants, Grant Devries and Mel Stamelman each won ‘The
Sheldon Cohen, ORT JET and Sasfin ‘Consultant of the year’ award.” The
recipients of this award were chosen because of their dedication and
commitment to the businesses that they assist. The awards where
presented by the late Sheldon’s wife Lesley and his father Jack Cohen.
Mel Stamelman said that “It was a privilege to be able to assist the
individuals and it enables him to work with people to bring them to
their full potential.”
In the Chief Rabbi, Dr Warren Goldstein address, he commended ORT
JET on the fantastic work that they are doing in the community and
that “he was standing on Holy ground because there were so many
mitzvahs in the room.”
Guest of honour Tony Leon was “interviewed” by Sasfin’s David Shapiro,
and the result was a stimulating, informative and inspirational
morning. Tony Leon was relaxed, sharing his views and opinions of the
past and current state of the Nation.
Many thanks to SASFIN Bank for sponsoring the breakfast. Contact ORT
JET for more information, if you would like to be a consultant or if
you are a business in need of assistance. Call Cindy on (011) 728-7154
