ORT SA’s Mandela Day lasted 3 x 67 minutes today at the Alexandra Children’s Library in Johannesburg. More than 300 children aged 3-12 took part in the ‘ORT 2 B RESPONSIBLE” programme. Assisted by ORT SA staff, library staff, ‘2nd Chance’ project participants and Sasfin volunteers, the children learnt life skills around their responsibilities as young people. ” It was remarkable” , said the librarian. ” The children were so engrossed in the topic. Thank you ORT SA for taking care of these youngsters today and feeding them. A wonderful way to recognise Madiba’s legacy.”
