ORT SA recently held its first annual parents’ meeting for the Second Chance programme. Sponsored by Hudaco Industries Ltd. , the Second Chance project provides expert teaching to students retaking their Grade 12 Mathematics and Physical Science subjects.
ORT SA proudly announced the drastic improvement of several of their learners through the programme. The best-performing learner for both subjects was Busiswa Nsele, who obtained 85% and 86%, respectively, in Mathematics and Physical Science.
Salma Pearl Tshazi remarked on the importance and impact of the Second Chance programme. Like many of her peers, she has significantly improved her marks, with some learners improving by as much as 40%.
