Thandeka Mhlaba was part of the ORT SA/ YES programme sponsored by Absa. Thandeka joined the Thabang Xaba Foundation as an intern. The foundation deals with the youth, focusing primarily on integrating young people back to their rightful place in society by providing a holistic approach to dealing with challenges faced by young people in their respective communities. The foundation is now part of the AEDF programme offered by ORT SA. Thandeka was so inspired by the foundation that her ambition is to start her own rehabilitation center to help youth suffering from drug addiction and substance abuse.
